Toto Afrika

Our Company Profile

Toto Afrika is a registered NGO based in Mombasa, Kenya, with a goal to develop the African child holistically giving them an equal opportunity in the world today. The rising tide of HIV/AIDS, Mental health disease, Drug and substance abuse, amongst numerous other social problems has continuously purged the economically active population in the country. This has left behind a generation of helpless children and eroded the culture of Orphan care as a social obligation. Toto Afrika is making deliberate efforts to bridge the gaps that continue to grow by implementing community-based interventions and responses.

Research shows that countless Children at the Kenyan Coast lack access to quality health care, education, food, and other basic socio-economic services and opportunities. This has a direct impact on development and economic growth. Toto Afrika seeks to invest in these children as we believe doing so is investing in the future of a Nation.

Toto Afrika imparts life skills and uses rugby ‘Tackle it’ as the guiding principle to teach life-long values and focus on these vulnerable children. Tackle it, is the principle that encourages a child to tackle any and every issue they face and emerge victorious in life. To impact the life of a child holistically, we envision all interventions alongside these five pillars: Sexual Reproductive health, Mental health, Entrepreneurship, Mentorship, Creative and performance Art.

In order to achieve Toto Afrika’s mission and vision, our 3 main objectives are:

❖ To equip young adults and children with diversified life skills that enhance their ability to improve their lives and become self-reliant. This is by providing access to scholarship, mentorship, and various capacity building opportunities that tap into their existing potential.

❖ To create a self- reinforcing breed of young champions. Created and supported by the shared core values of Toto Afrika and hence live meaningful lives.

❖ Establish an enabling environment for a dignified life; Measure by; Economically empowered parents Improved access to formal and informal education for the vulnerable children Improved child Outcomes.
